Well it's official, we're going to take a break. I met with the nurse practioner at my ObGyn's office yesterday and she said the best thing for me right now is to go on birth control. She seemed to think 4 to 6 months on bcp and losing some more weight could only help things.
As much as I hate to wait even longer to get pregnant it does make sense to at least give it a shot. My mom doesn't agree, she thinks I should get a second opinion. The part of me that is desperate to have another baby agrees with her. However for once the practical side of me has won.
As it is I am always tired. I have a hard enough time dragging myself around at my current weight of 262 (I gained back some of the weight I lost). I remember how heavy and tired I felt at 7 months pregnant with Savannah. I'm just scared that will be ever worse starting out 50 lbs heavier than I was back then.
So I've started on Prometrium again to induce a period. As soon as that starts I will be starting Ovcon 35. She said start it on the Sunday after my period starts but the pack says I can start on the first day of my period. They have a little pack of stickers I can use to put over the standard Sunday start. I haven't been on birth control pills since I was 17. So I was slightly amused by the nice slim credit card look to my birth control. It fits into a small black case that looks like it's for a credit card. Not that I'll probably be taking my birth control in public or anything but if I wanted to I guess that would be nice.
So once I start the birth control I will post one last time before my break. To say goodbye for a while, I PROMISE I will be back! Also to post my weight tracker and count down to when we'll be TTC again. I'll also post the link to my weight loss blog so you can keep track of things there if you like.
The goal is 51 lbs by October. I'm willing to stay on birth control and give WW my very best shot between now and October. I think it's totally do-able if I give it my all, to lose that weight by October. My period should arrive in the next 9 to 14 days so I am guessing it will be close to Halloween when we start TTC again.
